Robbie's Death DQ

The death of Robbie affected Gerald and Angel in a negative way. It made them vulnerable and depressed, Gerald has gotten survivors guilt, he thought that instead of Robbie being the one who died, he is convinced he could, and should have been the one to die. Gerald always looked up to Robbie in a sort of way. He was great at basketball and had colleges asking for him left and right, he had opportunities that Gerald never had, and had the family that was stable and loving to him. Robbie’s death shocked me, I didn’t understand why it had to be him, and not someone else, Robbie was Gerald’s best friend. Mr. Washington was the man who had saved Gerald and Angel from Jordan once before except now he can’t help Mr. Washington in any way.
