How are Gerald and Angel like many young people today? How are they different? What strengths are found in them that help them to survive the situation in which they live?

Gerald and Angel are like many people today because they get abused by their parents a lot, like many other kids who get abused today. They are different because today’s kids are too scared to talk to someone else about it but Gerald and Angel talked, They were scared at first but then they started being brave and they told on Jordan Sparks and Mr.Washington helped them all the way along, I think that the problem that today’s kids have no one to talk to and even if they do a lot of times those people who the kids talk to about their problems maybe don’t say anything about it either but, some do help the kids and they solve their problems. What helped Gerald is Mr.Washington who told him to be brave and helped him report to the police about Jordan does to him and Angel. Gerald’s strength is Angel because she was the one who kept him strong because of how much he loved her, he stayed strong to protect her and to stand up for her. Angel’s strength is Gerald because he always told her to stay strong and never give up, and he always told her what to do like stay away from Jordan and stuff.  Without Gerald, Angel  would haven’t survived or if she had she would have never got away from Jordan’s abuse.
