End of ch.1 predictions and future for Gerald!

Gerald's mother abused Gerald and left him alone in which he started playing with the match and accidentally put the house on fire. After the fire the police found out he was alone and with some information i guess they figured his mother left him there and they arrested her. For Gerald all he probably wanted was mamma but he didn't know where she was. Gerald probably won't see his mother for a long time and mostly will forget about her. Gerald's future will be hard for him because he won't see his mother for a long time and knows it mostly happened because she left him alone and decided to be drug addict. Gerald will have to live his life knowing that day was real and that his mother could be the reason why it happened cause she left him alone at home.
