Child abuse info graphic-Forged by Fire!

In the book Forged by Fire, Gerald is abused by his mother when he was only 3. He was also abused by Jordan basically his whole life since he moved in with them at around age 9. This info graphic explains the amount of child abuse there is in the united states. The top reasons for child abuse is neglect. Gerald wasn't neglected or not wanted by his mother, she loved him but hated what his choices was, but Jordan Sparks on the other hand wanted Gerald out of there and dead and away from angel. The info graphic states that mothers are most likely to abuse the child. At the beginning of the book Gerald was abused by his mother but after that incident (the fire) he was  only abused by Jordan Sparks (Angels so called father). The info graphic says a lot about the child abuse done in the US, 16% of children in the US are involved in child abuse allegations. And very young children are more pron to getting abused by someone, 4 out of every 5 child is abused that is under the age of 4. This info graphic really shows how bad and how growing the child abuse is getting and it does tie in to Forged by Fire with abuse.
